Itinerary:
3000 years of glorious civilization left behind stunning archaeological sites right by the bank of the Nile. We cruise down the river exploring some of the most stunning historical sites as well as observing the traditional way of life in the villages. The cruise starts at Luxor, the capital of the Egyptian New Kingdom dating back 3000 years ago. Here, the huge concentration of ancient palaces & royal tombs, hidden in beautiful valleys is the bloodline of Egyptian civilization. We disembark at Aswan and you may wish to make an optional trip to the most spectacular UNESCO project of Abu Simbel.
For those who want to enjoy an unique experience on the Nile, we offer cruising down the River in the small, intimate Dahabiya that sail on the river for 7 nights. For choices and pricing, please contact our friendly tour consultant.
We then fly back to Cairo and here we visit capital of Old Kingdom with of course the Pyramids as well as more sites antiquities. You will also explore Islamic Cairo visit the World class Egyptian Museum and perhaps get lost in the great Bazaar of Khan El-Khalil.
After Cairo, we fly to Jordan and here the amazing rose city, one of the 7 wonders of the world Petra awaits! Alternatively, you may travel by overland to Petra and visit Mt. Sinai and St. Catherine along the way. For choices and pricing, please contact our friendly consultant.

Upon arrival, be met and transferred to board the cruise.
In the late morning, you will tour the West Bank of Luxor. You will cover Colossi of Memnon, temple of Queen Hatchepsut and 3 tombs in the Valley of the Kings). Overnight on board docked at Luxor.

DAY 02 LUXOR / ESNA
Optional: Take a sunrise hot air balloon ride over the West Bank and have a bird eye view of the enormous sights.
Return to the cruise for breakfast. In the late morning, you will tour the East Bank of Luxor covering the Karnak and Luxor temples.
The cruise will begin navigating towards Esna after lunch, which is about 60km south of Luxor. Overnight on board docked at Esna.

DAY 03 ESNA / EDFU / KOM OMBO
Early morning navigate towards Edfu and visit Temple of Horus, the largest sanctuary built during the period of King Ptolemy. After lunch, continue the journey to Kom Ombo, about 145km south of Edfu. Overnight on board docked at Kom Ombo.

DAY 04 KOM OMBO / ASWAN
This morning, visit the huge temple dedicated to the God Sobek and Harocies. Navigate towards Aswan, about 48km south of Kom Ombo. Visit the temple of Philae, which has been entirely moved to the island of Algikia during the construction of the high barrage.
In the afternoon, sail the Nile by felucca (traditional Egyptian sail boat) around Kitchener’s Island and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. You will end the ride at Elephantine Island and enjoy afternoon tea at Movenpick Tower to have an spectacular view of the surrounding area. The rest of the afternoon is free at leisure. This evening, enjoy the sound and light show at the Temple of Philae, set beautifully on an island.

DAY 05 ASWAN / ABU SIMBEL
This morning, you will disembark from the cruise and take a short flight to Abu Simbel – this colossus temple of Ramses II is one of the most stunning sights in Egypt! It is set wonderfully by Lake Nasser. You may avoid the crowd by visiting the temple in the late afternoon, when the day trippers had left. The sound and light show of the temple in the evening is one of the best in Egypt.

DAY 06 ABU SIMBEL / CAIRO
This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Cairo.

Upon arrival, be met and transferred to your hotel.
We devote the morning for the famous Egyptian Museum and in the afternoon, we tour Coptic Cairo, visiting the Hanging Church which is built into the walls of the water gate of the Roman fortress and is possibly the oldest Christian church in Egypt. Your next stop is the Abu Serga, one of the places where the Holy Family rested after fleeing Israel from King Herod.

DAY 07 CAIRO
Today, we spend the full day visiting Sakkara, site of the great necropolis of Memphis, the Old Kingdom capital. Later, tour one of the great wonders of the world - the famous Giza plateau hosting the legendary pyramids and sphinx.
This evening, enjoy the spectacular light and sound show at the Pyramids!

DAY 08 CAIRO
In the morning, explore the Islamic Cairo. First you will visit the citadel of Salah-el-Din and Mohamed Ali Mosque in the Old City of Cairo. Then, proceed to Ibn Tulun Mosque with an open interior and a minaret that offers an overview of Islamic Cairo. The last stop is Sultan Hassan Mosque which was finished in 1363 and used as a school for different Islamic schools of thought and also contains a mausoleum. You will also enjoy a walk through the bustling and oldest bazaar in Cairo, the Khan-el-Khalili, where you can shop for souvenirs.

You have the morning at leisure before you are transferred to the airport.

Upon arrival, we drive along the Desert Highway to Wadi Rum, where your adventure in the desert of Lawrence of Arabia awaits you. You will be driven in a 4x4 jeep to the heart of the desert to see as Lawrence puts it in his book “Seven Pillars of Wisdom” – “Echoic and God Like" mountains. History lies in the mountains with Thamudic inscriptions and figures that are dated to the 7th BC.
Thereafter, drive to Petra and check into your hotel.

DAY 10 PETRA
We devote the full day to visit the famous red rose city of Petra, the Nabetan capital that is dated from the 1BC to the 7th AD. Monuments of different Nabetan/ roman and Christian periods await you - Tombs- Temples- Houses and Churches…..
Tonight, enjoy a light and sound show at Petra.

DAY 11 PETRA / AMMAN / HONG KONG
After breakfast, we drive along the King’s highway to Kerak, the crusader castle of the 12th A.D before continuing to the lowest spot on Earth – “Dead Sea” to spend some time before we drive about 2 hours back to Amman in time to catch your flight.
