Itinerary:

Yangon, the gateway into Myanmar remains a less visited part of Asia. The Shwedagon Pagoda, a 98-metre pagoda covered with 60 tons of pure gold is prominent and visible in many parts of the city.

A short flight away, Bagan is a spectacular religious archaeological sites with thousands of stupas and temples sprawling across 40 square kilometers of the countryside.

Nestled on the Shan Plateau, Inle Lake is a scenic gem with its famous leg-rowing Intha fisherman and colourful floating markets.

DAY 01HONG KONG/YANGON
Fly Hong Kong/Bangkok TG 603 0800/0940 – Daily

Upon arrival, you would be met and transferred to your hotel.
This afternoon, tour Yangon visiting the old colonial city, Kandawyi Lake and Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the most outstanding religious monuments in Southeast Asia. Enjoy sunset here.
 
DAY 02YANGON/BAGAN
 
Transfer to the airport for your early morning flight to Bagan. Be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel.
Bagan is the most amazing sight in Myanmar if not Southeast Asia. Across 40 sq km of the country, there are literally thousands of stupas and temples. In every direction, you will see ruins of all sizes, some soaring into the sky and others standing quaintly at a corner. The meandering Ayeyarwaddy River completes the scene.

Your exploration of this amazing city starts from the golden stupa of Shwezigon. Then, continue to Kubyauk Gyi with its exquisite mural and Ananda, rated by many as the most beautiful in Bagan.

In the afternoon, continue with Nanpaya, for its Mon style architecture and Manuha for its four Buddha images. Finally, climb up Shwesandaw Pagoda for the most dramatic sunset over Bagan.

DAY 03BAGAN
This morning, make an excursion to Mt. Popa which rose from the ground in a massive earthquake in 442 BC. Mt. Popa is famous as the abode of the Nats (Spirit Gods) and for its panoramic view of the local tropical region. On the way to Mt. Popa, visit a toddy palm juice production plant.

In the afternoon, visit a lacquer-ware factory. As the day wanes, you will take a horse cart ride through the temples to Bupaya, a Pyu-style stupa which is located right on the banks of the Ayeyarwaddy River and from where you begin a scenic boat ride ending at Lawkananda Pagoda, a riverside stupa where you can catch another magnificent sunset.

DAY 04BAGAN/YANGON
Transfer to the airport to fly to Heho. Arrive at Heho and drive about 1 hour to Nyangshwe, the gateway to the unique and magical Inle Lake, which is located 1,328 meters above sea level and is 22 km long and 11 km wide.
From Nyangshwe, take an hour’s boat ride to your resort.

DAY 05INLE LAKE
Enjoy a full day boating around the lake.
Highlights include the floating five-day markets that move between each of the lakeside villages; the famous Intha fisherman rowing in the one-legged style characteristic of Inle Lake and their floating strips of ‘land’ for growing vegetables. Visit the ‘jumping cats’ monastery, Phaungdaw U Pagoda and weaving factories.

DAY 06INLE LAKE/YANGON
Rise early this morning and boat back to Nyangshwe. Drive to Heho for your flight to Yangon. Be met and transferred to your hotel.
You have the afternoon at leisure and may wish to shop at the Bogyoke Market which is a delight to explore and Golden Valley which offers many excellent art galleries.
