  • Day 01 - Hong Kong / Delhi
    Fly Hong Kong /Delhi CX 697 2000/2355   – Daily (6h 25m)

    On arrival, be met and transferred to your hotel in Delhi.

  • Day 02 - Delhi

    Optional: Delhi on Bike - enter Delhi’s 400 year old web of alleys held together with great big meshes of electric cables and infused with the smell of brewing tea and simmering breakfast curry! (3.5 hours; starting at 6.30am with specialist guide with tea and breakfast)

    Take a walk into the back alleys of Delhi for a glimpse into the lives of the children of the streets. Walk through the enchanting inner city of Paharganj and the area around New Delhi railway station, led by a child who once lived and worked on the streets. The journey ends at a shelter for children, where you may get to interact with the children of Salaam Baalak Trust project.

    Visit Humayun Tomb - a magnificent Mughal building. Continue to see 12th century Qutab Minar with its imposing victory tower. Visit the exteriors of some interesting buildings in Lutyens' Delhi - India Gate, the President’s House and Parliament House.

    Recommendation: View changing of guards outside President's House.

  • Day 03 - Delhi / Agra

    Drive 4 hours to Agra and visit the Agra Fort, built by 4 Generations of the Mughal Dynasty.Take a ride on a rickshaw through Old Agra as you pass through the old bazaars, traditional eating joints and places of worship. Experience the vibrant local colour of the spice market, Ayurveda medicine shops, famous sweets shops and local perfume shop!

    As the day wanes, visit the iconic Taj Mahal at sunset. *Taj Mahal is undergoing cleaning and restoration, the scaffolding around the main dome of Taj Mahal will remain in place till 2018. Please contact your travel specialist for more details.

    (Note: Vehicles are not allowed close to the site, you will be dropped off at a distance - and a walk or horse-drawn tonga will take you to the gate; Sunset at around 1730hrs is best for Winter Months; sunrise is best for Summer Months )

    Optional: Catch the ‘Mohabbat-the-Taj’ - a 80-minute song and drama spectacle representing this monument of love in different moods and season.

    Optional: See the Taj Mahal by night under the light of the full moon ( selected nights only).

  • Day 04 - Agra / Samode

    Drive 5 hours to Jaipur. Enroute, visit Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted capital of the Moghul Empire. Take another detour into the small village of Abhaneri to visit Chand Baori, an architectural jewel and the deepest stepwell in the world. Also visit Harshat Mata Temple with ruined medieval Hindu sculptures.

    Arrive in the rural town of Samode in late afternoon. Have some free time to explore the atmospheric alleys, cobbled lanes and market to discover the artisans’ workshops where traditional crafts are still practiced!

  • Day 05 - Samode / Jaipur / Samode

    Morning, find beautiful murals and carvings in Amber Fort. Enter in true royalty style; by elephants! (Return by jeep). Meet your specialist guide and visit ancient Amer - a flourishing settlement in 967 A.D occupied by the Meena - now a sleepy town rarely visited by tourists. This atmospheric ancient town is dotted with historic temples, havelis, water harvesting structures.

    Optional: For those with a love for nature and adventure can combine your Amer walk with some gentle 2-3 hour trekking in the surrounding Aravali hills, ruined fort an hidden shrines.

    Afternoon, start from the honeycomb pink façade of the Palace of Wind, then to the City Palace. Visit Jantar Mantar (the ancient observatory) and marvel at the brilliance of the Indian during the medieval times.

  • Day 06 - Samode / Rohet Or Chhatra Sagar

    Drive approximately 5-6 hours off the beaten trail for a taste of rural Rajasthan for the next 2 nights.

    Option 1: Rohet And The Wilderness Camp

    Stay a night in one of the most interesting heritage hotels in Rajasthan. Hop onto a jeep for The Village Safari - interact with the local community and have authentic look into life in these tribal villages. Meet the Bishnois, who have protected nature for more than 500 years and ensured survival of species like the rare Black Buck antelope. Meet the local farmers and villagers.

    Next day, move to a magical desert retreat - the Wilderness Camp. Seven Swiss cottage-style tents sit behind sandstone ramparts, deep in the remote Thar Desert.

    Other activities include: Stargazing at the beautiful moonlit skies, horse riding and village safaris, desert picnics, jeep, camel safaris into the tribal areas, birdwatching and cookery classes. (All year round)

    Option 2: Chhatra Sagar

    Check 2 nights into Camp Chhatrasagar set in the tiny village of Nimaj on the banks of Chhatra Sagar Lake. Join a guided tour by the members of the family to these settlements to understand the traditional, rural Rajasthani lifestyle. Evening, sit around the bonfire to listen to village folklore and enjoy a traditional Rajasthani meal cooked from the family kitchen! Experience a fresh luxury tented camp akin to mobile mini palaces. Spend some time stargazing as the sky turns into a blanket of stars once darkness descends! (Closed in Summer -1 April to 30 September)

  • Day 07 - Chhatra Sagar Or Rohet

    Enjoy another day in rural Rajasthan.

  • Day 08 - Chhatra Sagar Or Rohet / Jodhpur

    Check out the camp. Drive about 1 hour (from Rohet) or 2.5 hours (from Chhatra Sagar) through countryside scenery to Jodhpur!

    Optional: Enjoy a stunning outdoor roof top Rajasthani dining experience with unbeatable views of the Mehrangarh Fort and the Blue City at Hanumant Mahal.

  • Day 09 - Jodhpur

    Explore the majestic Mehrangarh Fort - with walls that soar like sheer cliffs boasting many palaces within. Close to the fort is the 19th century Jaswant Thada - a fascinating creation in white marble. This afternoon, take a rickshaw/tonga ride into the old town.

    On a walking tour with a specialist guide, dive deep into the heart of Jodhpur to discover the lesser-known treasures of this enchanting city. Learn about interesting legends, interact with city’s residents, and wonder through narrow alleyways dotted with Indigo coloured houses.

  • Day 10 - Jodhpur / Delhi / Hong Kong

    From Jodhpur, be dropped off at the airport for your flight.
