  • Day 01 Hong Kong / Delhi

    On arrival, be met and transferred to your hotel in Delhi.

  • Day 02 - Delhi

    Optional: Delhi on Bike - enter Delhi’s 400 year old web of alleys held together with great big meshes of electric cables and infused with the smell of brewing tea and simmering breakfast curry! (3.5 hours; starting at 6.30am with specialist guide with tea and breakfast)

    Visit Humayun Tomb - a magnificent Mughal building. Continue to see 12th century Qutab Minar with its imposing victory tower. Visit the exteriors of some interesting buildings in Lutyens' Delhi - India Gate, the President’s House and Parliament House.

    Recommendation: View changing of guards outside President's House.

    Have a view of true India by entering the Nizamuddin area into the mystical world of Sufism, visiting the Dargah of a world famous Sufi saint. Take a walk into the impoverished neighbourhood and visit Project Arman, an initiative to educate children of rag pickers.

  • Day 03 - Delhi / Varanasi

    After breakfast transfer to the Airport to board flight for Varanasi.

    Upon arrival in Varanasi, the oldest living city in India, be met and transferred to the hotel.

    Afternoon, enjoy the Kashi - the City of Light tour with a Specialist. Explore ancient pathways to Hindu temples and Muslim mosques. The highlight is Varanasi's Kashi Vishwanath Temple - arguably the most famous of all Hindu temples. Observe the age old cremation rituals of Manikarnika, the burning ghat.

    Optional: Death & Rebirth Night Walk With Specialist in Banaras as Mahashramstana, the great cremation ground of Shiva. See renunciants who practice Tantric death rituals at Manikarnika burning ghat. End with a visit to the temple of Sankata Devi. (8.30 to11.30pm, max. 2 persons only)

  • Day 04 - Varanasi

    Rise early for a pre-dawn cruise on the Ganges starting at Varanasi’s holiest spot and through several iconic ghats before ending of at Manikarnika ghat, a cremation ghat.

    After breakfast, explore a hidden side of Varanasi. On this walking tour, visit an akhara (wrestling gym), a shop that hosts a live bull for good luck, a street dentist, a Sadhu (holy man) that preaches via social media, an ashram where thousands move in to die every year, a temple dedicated to Guru Ravidass - an outspoken critic of the caste system, and a spiritual retreat for the Aghori, where holy men engage in post-mortem rituals contrary to orthodox Hinduism.

    Rest of the day is at leisure.

  • Day 05 - Varanasi / Khajuraho

    Be transferred for your next flight.

    Fly Varanasi/Khajuraho 9W2423 1230/1315 (45min)    - Daily

    On arrival, be met and transferred to the hotel.

    This is Khajuraho - home to UNESCO World Heritage Hindu and Jain temples and their beautiful and erotic rock carvings.Visit the Eastern and western group of temples -which presents a very different architectural style from the temple prototype of that period.

    This evening, enjoy a unique program of Sound & Light show held in the grounds of the Western group of temples.

  • Day 06 - Khajuraho / Orchha / Jhansi / Agra

    Transfer to Orchha, a medieval city where the hand of time has rested lightly and the palaces and temples built by its Bundela rulers in the 16th and 17th centuries retain much of their pristine perfection. See the Rai Parveen Mahal, Chaurbhuj Temple and the Cenotaphs.

    Later transfer to the Jhansi Railway station to board the train Shatabdi express at 1759 Hrs for Agra. Arrive Agra at 2030 Hrs and transfer to the Hotel.

  • Day 07 - Agra

    Visit the Agra Fort, built by 4 Generations of the Mughal Dynasty.Take a ride on a rickshaw through Old Agra as you pass through the old bazaars, traditional eating joints and places of worship. Experience the vibrant local colour of the spice market, Ayurveda medicine shops, famous sweets shops and local perfume shop!

    As the day wanes, visit the iconic Taj Mahal at sunset. *Taj Mahal is undergoing cleaning and restoration, the scaffolding around the main dome of Taj Mahal will remain in place till 2018. Please contact your travel specialist for more details.

    Optional: Catch the ‘Mohabbat-the-Taj’ - a 80-minute song and drama spectacle representing this monument of love in different moods and season.

    Optional: See the Taj Mahal by night under the light of the full moon ( selected nights only).

  • Day 08 - Agra / Jaipur

    Drive 5 hours to Jaipur. After 1.5 hours, visit Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted capital of the Moghul Empire. Continue 2 hours and detour to the small village of Abhaneri which is home to the 8th century Chand Baori - an unheralded architectural jewel and the deepest stepwell in the world. Also visit the adjacent Harshat Mata Temple with ruined medieval Hindu sculptures!

    Arrive in Jaipu in the late afternoon.

  • Day 09 - Jaipur

    Optional: See The Pink City in the most novel way - on a balloon flight! (Mid-sep to end-March)

    Morning, find beautiful murals and carvings in Amber Fort. Enter in true royalty style; by elephants! (Return by jeep). Meet your specialist guide and visit ancient Amer - a flourishing settlement in 967 A.D occupied by the Meena - now a sleepy town rarely visited by tourists. This atmospheric ancient town is dotted with historic temples, havelis, water harvesting structures.

    Optional: For those with a love for nature and adventure can combine your Amer walk with some gentle 2-3 hour trekking in the surrounding Aravali hills, ruined fort an hidden shrines.

    Afternoon, start from the honeycomb pink façade of the Palace of Wind, then to the City Palace. Visit Jantar Mantar (the ancient observatory) and marvel at the brilliance of the Indian during the medieval times.

  • Day 10 - Jaipur / Hong Kong

    Go on heritage walk carefully designed to offer and enriching experience through our warm relationship with resident artisans, temple priests and locals. Visit lively temples and witness a Hindu prayer ceremony. Discover some of the lesser known architectural wonders of Pink City.

    Drive to Delhi (4-5 hours). Day-use room close to Delhi Airport is provided for you to freshen up before being transferred airport for your flight.
