  • Day 01 - Hong Kong / Shenzhen / Langzhou

    This morning, your driver will pick you up from your residence for transfer to Shenzhen Airport for your flight.

    Fly Shenzhen/Lanzhou ZH9977 0935/1350 – Daily  (4h 15m) stop in Changsha for 1hr


    Upon arrival in Lanzhou, be met by your English-speaking guide and transfer by to the city. You will start with Zhongshan Bridge, also famed as Iron bridge of Yellow River.

    Then cross the bridge to visit Mt. Baitashan, one of the famous 8 sights of Lanzhou, where you can have a bird view of the whole city. Continue with a leisurely stroll along the Binhe Road and experience local life. By the end of Binhe Road, walk into the Waterwheel Expo Park – an exhibition of over 10 waterwheels – one of the oldest irrigation tools in Lanzhou, first appearing in the Ming Dynasty.

    Late afternoon, check in hotel and enjoy some downtime at hotel.

  • Day 02 - Lanzhou / Xiahe
    After breakfast, we will visit the Gansu Provincial Museum. The museum boasts more than 75,000 cultural relics, including Gansu color-painted pottery, and bamboo slips on medication of the Han era and more.

    Afterwards, drive about 1.5 hours to Liujiaxia Hydroelectric Power Station (visit exterior). After lunch, take a speedboat 40 minutes to Binglingsi Grottoes. "Bingling" means "thousand Buddha" or "ten-thousand Buddha" in the Tibetan language. Also known as Bingling Temple, the grottoes are carved on Jishi Hill. After the tour, we will take the boat back to the Dam.

    Continue on a 2-hours’ drive to Xiahe -Tibetan town in the south of Gansu province.

    Upon arrival, stay in a luxury nomad camp – 11 hectares campsite ringed by Himalayans foothills.

  • Day 03 - Xiahe

    This morning, meet your guide and visit the Labrang Monastery, the spiritual heartbeat of Kanlho. It is one of the six great monasteries of the Geluk (Yellow Hat) school of Tibetan Buddhism. Walk the "kora” around the Monastery. Have an in-depth visit of the Monastery and see the daily life of local monks. If lucky, you may witness the interestingmonk debating for the Tibetan Buddhist Classics.

    After lunch, continue to visit to the Buddhist Scripture Printing House and learn how the monks print these classics. Continue to visit the Gong Tang Pagoda, the pagoda now is the shrine to honor the Buddhist relics of 2nd Gong Tang Live Buddha, also a wonderful place to have an overview of the Labrang. Visit a nearby nunnery to learn about their daily lives.

    Return to the campsite to wind down over finnish sauna or grassland yoga. As the night falls, star gaze around a bonfire.

  • Day 04 - Badain Jaran / Alashan Youqi / Zhangye

    Drive through the beautiful pastures, a nomad’s camp where you will share a local lunch and meet a local family.  A traditional menu may include: yak or lamb meat, fresh butter, fresh yogurt, local bread, Tsampa. Afternoon, go horse- back riding on the magnificent grasslands. 

    (Other alternative activities available – Day/ Overnight Hikes, Hike to Labrang Tashi Chem, Norlha textile workshop, picnic on the grasslands, bird-watching and more)

    Evening, take a Tibetan Culture Q&A session at 7pm with the team at the camp, who will give you the best insight into the local nomadic life.

  • Day 05 - Xiahe / Lanzhou / Hong Kong

    Enjoy a relaxed breakfast, and then drive back to Lanzhou. En route, stop at Linxia Autonomous prefecture, and visit itsGrand mosque and have a walk in the local market. Return to the airport and take flight back home.
