Itinerary

  • Day 01 - Hong Kong / Tashkent
    Fly Hong Kong / Seoul-Incheon KE 608 0055/0520 - Daily (3h25m)

    Upon arrival, be met and transferred to your hotel. Our tour of Tashkent starts from a small area of the old city remaining after the devastating earthquake in 1966. Visit the Khast Imam Square, consisting of the Barak Khan MadrassahTillya Sheykh Mosque and Kafal Shashi mausoleum. Then continue to Independence Square, Amir Temur Square, and the Alisher Navoi Theatre Square.

  • Day 02 - Tashkent / Urgench / Khiva
    Fly Tashkent / Urgench HY 1051 0750/0930 (1hr 40min) - Tue/Thu/Sat

     

    On the border with Turkmenistan, enjoy a tour of Ichan Kala with its tall minarets and domed roofs; Kalta Minor (Short Minaret),one of the most ambitious projects of the ruling khan; Kunya Ark, the fortified citadel of the rulers of Khiva; The Tomb of Sayid Allauddin, the Mongol-era 14th-century tomb of one of the Sufi masters; Pakhlavan Mahmud Mausoleum, of a famous wrestler, poet, philosopher and Khiva's saints patron.

    The tour goes on this afternoon to historical Shir Gazi Khan Madrasah, erected in 1718-1720 by 5000 Persian slaves; Juma (Friday) Mosque, once the khanate's religious heart which has 213 columns; and Tash Khauli (Harem), the most beautiful architectural decoration of the city.

  • Day 03 - Khiva / Bukhara

    A long drive of 7 hours brings you to Bukhara via the Kyzylkum (red sands) Desert (435 km). Many consider this to be the most atmospheric of the ancient cities here. Its vibrant bazaar seems to leap out from ‘One Thousand and One Night’.

  • Day 04 - Bukhara

    Visit the Ark Citadel; Bolo-Khauz Mosque (1712); Kalon Minaret (1127); Kalon Mosque; Covered Bazaars (trading city's cupolas - of the 15-16th centuries) and Samanid's Mausoleum with traces of Sogdian culture.

    Tonight, enjoy a dinner with folklore performance at Nodir Divan Begi madrassah (depends on weather condition)

  • Day 05 - Bukhara

    Continue the tour of Bukhara, visit Lyabi-Khauz Complex and the Poi-Kalyan Complex, the symbol of the city. After lunch, make an excursion to Sitora-I-Mokhi-Khosa, summer residence of the last Emir.

  • Day 06 - Bukhara / Shakrisabz / Samarkand

    Drive across mountain passes and tunnels to visit Shakhrisabz. Find the Ak-Sarai Palace, mausoleums and mosques. Continue to Samarkand.

  • Day 07 - Samarkand

    Spend a full day exploring Samarkand, including the famous Registan plaza, one of the most magnificent sights in Central Asia.

  • Day 08 - Samarkand / Tashkent

    Continue our exploration of Samarkand covering Ulugbek's Observatory, where he completed the famous "Tables of stars" and visit the outstanding Afrosiab Site & Museum.

    Visiting Samarkand Handmade Silk Paper Center “Meros” where the artisans have revived the ancient tradition of the hand-made paper production and reintroduced Samarkand Paper to the world.

    In the afternoon, be transferred to the railway station for your express train “Afrosiab” back to Tashkent (1700/1910, 2 h 10m).

    Wake up early and transfer to airport to catch your flight back home
